Hakka Ba-yin

Hakka Ba-yin

A traditional form of Hakka music in Taiwan, Hakka Ba-yin highlights the “suona” trumpet accompanied by other traditional Chinese musical instruments and percussion. The two major musical forms are “xian-suo” and “xiang-da,” which demand exquisite skill and offer a decorative music style, viewed as the basic features of Hakka Ba-yin music.
